Controls Design Engineer – Crewe
Driving Licence (Essential) – Due to Location – Live close to location – 45min commute
I am recruiting for a dynamic and motivated Controls Design Engineer to join a great Family run Engineering company with 130 employees and fantastic internal progression.
The Role
The role involves undertaking various tasks including electrical designs to customer specifications and requirements within timescales.
- Produce functional design specifications on receipt of client’s instruction
- Produce all manufacturing detail using 2D and 3D CAD, schematic wiring diagrams, bills of materials and all other manufacturing information for efficient production of control systems to satisfy client expectations
- Produce software where required for PLC/ HMI and any ancillary devices
- Generate quotations and ensure maintaining profitable sales
- Maintain close client contact building rapport and customer loyalty
- Liaise at all levels; from customers, workshops and the management team
- Feedback market trends and information * Maintain and maximise use of CRM,accounting and company software * Identify training needs to assist your progression
You
- Driving Licence (Essential) – Due to Location
- Knowledge of the industry
- General understanding of engineering principles
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Experience of providing products to the water, process control, HVAC or lift and escalator sectors
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Engineering qualification (ONC, HNC, BEng, etc)
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- 2D & 3D CAD * PLC/HMI programming
- Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload
