Customer Services Operator – Freight – Tamworth – Up to £30,000
An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services Operator to join our client’s Customer Services team at their Tamworth office.
This global forwarder provide freight forwarding services and logistics solutions across the entire world.

Office hours: Monday – Friday 08:30hrs – 17:30hrs (Full time – Office based)
Package:
- Salary Range : £26,000-£30,000
- Holiday commences 20 days + Statutory Public Holiday
- Holiday loyalty days up to a maximum of 5 days (1 per each full year of employment completed

The Role:
- Quoting cross trade consignments
- Booking deliveries in with customers
- Liaising with suppliers / Origin Offices
- Build strong relationships with customers
- Invoicing and Administration
- Ensure Bookings made with Origin office
- Aid Credit Controller with the collection of overdue payments from suppliers or clients
- Ensure customer bookings are accurately taken & entered operations system, International, National and cross trade
- Provide customers with accurate and cost-effective quotations within a timely fashion
- Confirm quotations received by telephone (within half an hour)
- Booking consignments with third party contractors
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills over the telephone and e-mail
- Experience with Excel reporting
- Good team working skills
- Freight Forwarding background (UK based)
