Customs Clerk

Customs Clerk – Felixstowe – Up to £30,000

This Company are looking to bring on a customs clerk to join their team in Felixstowe.

Responsible for day to day processing of customs entries ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations and AEO along with ensuring timely Customs Clearance of shipments.

Package:
Salary: £25,000-£30,000

Day to day:

Processing daily import and export customs declarations
Verifying documents received for customs purposes are compliant and correct
Accurate data entry
Manage group email inbox efficiently
Working on multiple operating systems
Communicating with customers directly via email and telephone
Liaising with customs and port authorities
Understanding incoterms
Track and trace arrivals and customs files

Other Responsibilities

Admin duties including transferring documents onto internal document management system
Potential shift work
Complete training quickly and efficiently

Required
1 year experience in EU regulatory framework for Importing / exporting
