An exciting and challenging new vacancy has opened with of the world’s leading freight forwarders and my client is now looking to hire a Multi Modal Branch Supervisor to join the management team at their office in Manchester.

The Package

• Salary up to £37,000 (DOE)

The Role Overview

• Manage and control the freight movements and supervise the operations team,
• standing in for the Branch Manager when they are absent
• Execute multi-modal import and export shipments in a timely manner as per customer requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction, whilst meeting local legislative requirements and the Company procedures and objectives
• Ensure the team respond to all business requests on time

The Person

Appropriate candidates will be currently working for a freight forwarder and either currently holding a supervisory title or looking to step up into one. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in all modes of freight, including knowledge of both import and export logistics. My client is also willing to consider candidates with air and sea freight experience without road, though import or export knowledge is a must.

• Solid understanding of all Customs clearance documentation
• Good geographical knowledge
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – customer service, negotiation
