Position: Ocean and Air Coordinator
Department: Multi-modal – Sea + Air
Hours: 9:00am to 5.30pm
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (Negotiable) DOE
Location: Newcastle, Tyne and Wear

You’ll be delivering end to end operations including customs, for key existing clients.

Day to day:

Assisting with the onboarding of all new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to our service
Processing of all Import/Export shipments by air, sea and road.
Accurate and complete entry of consignment and client information into the in-house systems
Providing pre-alerts to clients and checking to ensure they are received at final destination via post
flight/sailing checks
Ensure all months KPI’s are met and client invoicing requirements are achieved in a timely manner
Participate in weekly team meeting to discuss workload, issues and opportunities
Provide competitive solutions to customers and overseas offices, demonstrating intelligent buying from
suppliers, comparing costs between suppliers and negotiating to achive the best deal.
Resolving day to day issues with Clients and Vendors including NCR’s
Feedback operational issues to Manager who will filter to Sales department to develop business
further.

Requirements:

Experienced delivering start to finish operations from rate negotiation to invoicing.
Must have prior experience working across both Sea and Air freight – road freight would be a bonus.
Able to complete import customs entries.
Confident in managing own accounts and liaising with overseas agents and carriers.
Strong time management skills.
Accurate documentation
