Position: Ocean & Air Freight Pricing Specialist

Location: Aberdeen

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE

Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30am – 17:00pm

Our client are leading the way to become one of the most recognisable brands within international logistics and freight forwarding.

They are proud to have a network of offices spanning over 120 sites in 10 different countries.

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking to appoint an experienced freight forwarding professional to our Operations department in Aberdeen.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a similar freight forwarding role and ideally will have hands-on experience negotiating freight rates and providing quotes and pricing.

Ocean & Air Freight Pricing Specialist, Role and Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with potential and existing customers.
• Communicates all aspects of the company’s capabilities and service offerings available to the client.
• Negotiate directly with air and ocean carriers to achieve the best pricing and rates.
• Coordinate with different departments and offices domestically and globally across the group’s global network to build end-to-end logistics solutions.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients, including negotiating and closing major contracts.
• Maintain existing client base and simultaneously prospect for new clients and opportunities when possible.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to the company’s Senior Leadership and District Directors as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing critical sales contracts and opportunities.
