WMS Coordinator

WR Logistics are currently recruiting for a WMS Coordinator in Wakefield.

This is an exciting permanent opportunity to join a busy food distribution company based in Wakefield.

The role of warehouse WMS coordinator you will work closely with your direct line manager in delivering quality and excellent customer service.

Job role and duties

As the WMS coordinator you will be required to run day to day operation of the WMS system ensure all work is completed to the company standard in a safe and effective way also while driving and finding areas for improvement while working alongside your colleagues as this is still a task driver role. There Is also opportunity for further development at Wakefield as we grow our team and build a strong succession plan.

• Investigate and rectify back door errors.
• Running of reports to enable aisles to be checked.
• Bulk warehouse maintenance and bulk adjustments (quantities and location)
• Maintenance of pick faces reducing and increasing on a constant basis in line with demand
• Organise workload and staffing.
• Analyse drops made at night to reduce the volume of drops made during the night shift.

Job holder requirements

• IT literacy
• Ideally possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable
• Background experience in stock management / purchasing.
• Previous experience in food or temperature controlled warehouse desireable.
• Have a detailed understanding of stock control / management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess excellent personal organisation and business administration.
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
