Control and Automation Engineer – Industrial Communication Systems
Our client is an Automation & Pneumatic solutions specialist serving industrial industries, with a well-established Technical Centre they are looking to add to the team in Milton Keynes.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be required to provide technical support for a range of Industrial Communication Systems.
The role involves communicating with Japanese headquarters and assisting European subsidiaries by: –
* Answering technical questions about the clients products.
* Setting-up and Programming PLCs to assist with customer applications or for fault investigations.
* Providing face to face training and creating user guides/videos
Essential Requirements:
* Experience with Industrial Communication protocols including PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, OPC UA and IO-Link.
* Experience of configuring and programming PLCs using either Ladder or Structured Text.
* Experience with PLC engineering tools including TIA Portal, TwinCAT and Studio 5000.
Desirable:
* Electrical, Electronics, Software or Electromechanical Engineering degree at 2.1 level or higher.
* Experience of Industry 4.0 or IIoT technology.
* Experience of writing technical reports and product documentation.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
