Location: Milton Keynes


To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Proven experience working with Analogue and Digital Electronic design
* Recognised Qualification – Electrical, Electronics or Electromechanical Engineering
* Experience of circuit simulation software
* Experience with PCB design
* Ability to plan and manage own projects, with minimum support
* Experience of writing technical reports and electronic documentation

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our European Technical Centre. We are in search of an Electronics Hardware Engineer with experience in digital and analogue circuit design.

You will have the opportunity to become involved with the most relevant product development phases including circuit design, creation of specifications, schematics, design simulation, PCB layout and design, testing and troubleshooting.

Additional duties will involve supporting electronic and electrical development of test and production jigs as well as providing technical product support to SMC European subsidiaries.

The role will be within the SMC European Technical Centre as part of the Development Group in the Electrical section, based in Milton Keynes. The Development team is rapidly expanding, providing the opportunity to influence the direction and manner of growth, as well as the extensive personal development of those who join. As part of our global development team, led by Japan, we are focused on delivering solutions to our customers that are innovative, reliable and future proof.

Desirable, but not essential skills:
* Knowledge / experience of LTspice, EMC, MD, Safety, ATEX, ZUKEN / CR-8000
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience of working for a multinational company
