With an ever growing order book of work our client is constantly looking to grow their team of Civil Engineers / Structural Engineers & Technicians with varying levels of experience and will always find a role for the right candidate

You would be joining a busy practice with a strong and varied client base and an ever-growing order book. You will work on a variety of interesting and technically challenging projects in an environment that will allow you to develop new skills and play a pivotal role in shaping the company moving forward

You must have a can-do attitude, be able to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions under pressure and proactively drive projects forward

The Role

• Developing new and existing client relationships, winning new work and sustaining a healthy project pipeline.
• Reviewing and pricing projects
• The preparation of reports, specifications, designs and drawings, briefing documents, feasibility studies and options appraisals includes; superstructure, substructure, external works and drainage,
• Assisting with or leading a variety of projects from inception to completion
• Developing practical schemes in collaboration with other design team members and providing sufficient information to gain building regulations approval.
• Undertaking analysis on a variety of different structures, including dynamic assessments of buildings subject to vibrating plant and machinery.
• Appraising the strength of various materials (e.g. timber, concrete, steel and masonry)
• Carry out on-site inspections and appraisals of existing structures
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Graduate qualified Civil or Structural engineering degree
• 1 years PQE as Junior Civil Engineer – Intermediate Civil Engineer
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction materials, and building codes
• Experience in pricing and winning work
• A strong skillset for developing a project thorough the entire design process
• A strong analytical capability, including the design of entire structures and their foundations
• Familiar with using and interpreting a variety of structural analysis software

Package

• To £40k per annum
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with number of years’ service
