We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as an Air Import Coordinator. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage air import shipments from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and customer requirements
• Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and import declarations, to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate closely with customers, carriers, and agents to arrange for timely pickup and delivery of cargo
• Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to provide shipment status updates and address any concerns that may arise
• Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure proper clearance of goods and adherence to customs regulations
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, such as delays, damages, or missing documents
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records in our internal systems
• Continuously monitor and optimise processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Previous experience in air import operations, preferably in a freight forwarding or logistics company
• Strong knowledge of air import regulations, documentation, and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks in a time-sensitive environment
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software related to logistics and import documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
