This is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an Operations Director Senior Project Manager, Contract Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager or Engineer with extensive management experience to progress to Director level within a heat pump installation and maintenance business. The company has been recently acquired by a successful and stable M&E contractor and owners are looking for an exceptional manager to grow the business as your own for which you will be rewarded with a directorship and 30% profit shareholder within the business
Package:
- Realistic minimum package £100k
- Base salary £60,000 – £70,000k
- Profit bonus, first year 10%, second year 20%, third year 30%
- Electric car (Tesla)
- 33 days holiday
- 8% pension
Responsibilities:
- As the Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our day-to-day operations while driving continuous improvement and growth. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operational Leadership: Lead and inspire our operations team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of heat pump installation, maintenance, and servicing projects.
- Process Optimization: Streamline workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project deadlines and financial objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to industry standards.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous health and safety protocols to create a safe work environment for our team and clients.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the management team to set and monitor budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
- Supplier and Vendor Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and enhance project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role within the mechanical contracting or HVAC industry
- Engineering qualifications i.e diploma, degree or completed apprenticeship in a mechanical engineering or HVAC field
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems i.e plumbing or heat pumps and related contracting processes.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of motivating and leading diverse teams.
- Sound financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
