Technical / Operations Manager – Engineering Manufacturing – Lighting / Electronics

I’m recruiting a Technical Manager / Technical Operations Manager to join a manufacturer of lighting technology based in Portsmouth.

This is an opportunity for an experienced and multi-skilled Operations or Technical Manager to join a well-established manufacturer pushing the boundaries of technology within their sector.

Previous experience may have been as an Operations Manager, Technical Manager, Compliance Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager, General Manager or similar.

The Role

• To develop, consolidate and expand the business’ systems in the following areas; product quality, business management through ISO9001, health & safety, environmental, risk assessment procedures.
• Coach and develop the production & warehouse team and resolve internal and supply chain quality issues.
• Coordinate and prepare; Product Risk Assessments, Product Compliance Files, Product manuals, technical content
• Liaise with customers and supply chain around quality and specification issues.

You

• Experience as an Operations Manager, Technical Manager, Compliance Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager, Senior Engineer or similar.
• Strong people management skills
• Electrical / Electronic background, knowledge of AC and Battery power and relevant regulations/certifications desirable
• A candidate from within the lighting industry would be desirable.
• Strong customer/supplier-facing skills and supplier management

Package

• £40,000-£60,000
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
