Transport Coordinator

Transport Coordinator – Foston – £27,500

You will be joining a family-run logistics company that are experts in all they do, are looking for a Transport Coordinator to join their team.

As a Transport Coordinator you will be working alongside the Planning team and liasing with both customers and drivers.

The Package

£27,500

Monday – Friday

Rotating Shifts

Week 1 – 6am – 2pm

Week 2 – 2pm – 10pm

The Role:

• Transport Coordinator will call to confirm delivery arrangements
• You will be the key interface between customers ensuring a balanced approach is taken to delivering high levels of customer service
• As Transport Coordinator, you will arrange alternative delivery arrangements with end customers, lead customer and planning team
• It is your responsibility coordinate on road issues with drivers
• Ensure that driver adherence to planned start times is monitored
• Support shift manager in the control of yard through on-site yard controller/Shunter and the co-ordination of the trailers going on and off bays for each DC to accommodate transport loading times to achieve delivery.

The Requirements:

• Experience within the Transport industry
• Experience in making / Receiving a high volume of calls
• Proficient on Microsoft office, Teams and outlook
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly adaptable and able to work under pressurised situations
