Graduate Operations Coordinator

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire

Salary: Circa £22,000

My client is looking for a recent Graduate to join their team based in St Albans. You will join as a Graduate Operations Coordinator where you will be trained to become a Freight Forwarder, experienced in Sea Freight Imports and European Road Freight Shipments.

My client is an experienced freight forwarder with over 35 years of experience in the industry, dealing with approximately 230 clients world-wide.

Package Benefits:

• Full time: Monday to Friday – 8:30am-5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Being trained to help support the Operations team in coordinating the day to day Sea Freight imports and European road freight shipments.
• Completing the necessary export and import customs clearance.
• Raising job files and all of the appropriate paperwork.
• Processing the jobs utilising the Azyra software system.
• Extensive client liaison both written (email) and verbal (telephone).
• Extensive supplier liaison and negotiation.
• Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service status information.
• Invoicing jobs on completion.

Requirements:

• Customer service experience with the ability to build strong relations.
• Experience of calculating quotations.
• Negotiating skills to maximise gross profit.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good IT skills.
