Ocean Import Coordinator
Ocean Import Coordinator – Redditch, Birmingham – Up to £27,000
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 9:00am to 5:30PM – Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £27,000
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Ocean Import Coordinator within the freight forwarding industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ocean import procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and MS Office applications.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge in CDS is essential
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the importation of goods via ocean freight.
- Communicate and liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and clients.
- Arrange and track shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues or delays.
- Coordinate with warehouse and transportation teams for efficient cargo handling and delivery.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of import records and databases.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and providing status updates.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of import activities.
