Valve Engineer / Pump Engineer
My client is currently recruiting for experienced Engineer with extensive experience working on either large pumps or large industrial valves, you may currently be a Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer or Mechanical Fitter or Test / Assembly Engineer.
This role involves assembling and testing valves, and also offers an opportunity to take on management responsibilities of the existing team and department.
The Role:
- Testing and assembling valves ensuring correct pressure and flow
- Setting up test rigs, developing new test equipment
- Documenting results
- Supervise team of 6 Test Engineers
- Plan and delgate workload on a weekly and monthly cycle
- Working with the Quality Manager to lead and help implement Lean manufacturing processes
- Identify process improvement activities including improving systems, documentation, test equipment, work flow
You:
- Likely to have a HNC/HND or apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer
- Valve or Pumps knowledge is essential
- Likely to have previous Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Pump Engineer, Valve Engineer, Test Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter
- Supervisory or team management experience or desire and aptitude for leadership
Package:
- Salary to around £30k
- Pension Scheme 8% (4% Matched)
