Position: Business Development Manager – Mufti Modal Freight
Location: Farnborough
Salary: £40,000 + Car Allowance & commission structure
Hours: Mon – Fri 37.5 hours per week
Territory: South of England to include London, Home Counties, Dorset, Devon, Somerset, Kent, West / East Sussex (not exhaustive)

We are proud to exclusively partner with an independently owned, award-winning logistics and freight forwarding company based in Farnborough.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Multi-Modal (Air, Road, & Ocean) Freight Sales Manager to become an integral part of our long-standing Freight Forwarding Division, covering a region in the South of the UK, and reporting into our Farnborough Offices.
This is a new department with ambitious growth plans and the ideal candidate will work form the office, out in the field and from home.
We are looking for an experienced Field Sales Profession with Air, Road and Ocean Fright experience, to be the foundation for our journey and growth.
We are keen to speak with individuals who possess a strong commercial background working in field sales for the freight-forwarding sector, focusing on new business development and retention across all freight modes. You must be a self-starter who is well-networked and connected in the freight industry with the ability to formulate a clear sales strategy for business growth, increased revenue and business retention.
Responsibilities:
- Growth through developing and securing new B2B sales & gross profit growth across the portfolio.
- Manage own lead generation.
- Quote new prospects and put together quotes independently or with the help of the team.
- Source, plan and conduct face-to-face calls with prospective B2B customers within the south of the UK.
- Achieve an agreed number of face-to-face/virtual meetings per month with prospective B2B (commercial) clients.
- Follow up of routed sales leads (generated by overseas partners) when provided to you by the team.
- Research / sourcing potential business opportunities thought out the south of the UK.
- Primarily target and secure medium to large-size prospects.
- Make recommendations to management relating to forecasting/budgeting strategy.
- Remain engaged with customers to maintain relationships and ensure the ongoing success of the account
