Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding (Remote, Miami-Based)

Our client, a well-established global freight forwarding company, is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across the Southeast region. This is a remote role based in the Miami area, targeting surrounding states and key regional markets.

• Salary up to $110,000

• 10% GP bonus structure

About the Opportunity

We are working with a global logistics provider recognised for its strong operational infrastructure, international network, and commitment to service excellence. They are now looking to appoint a motivated sales professional capable of developing new import and export business across ocean, air, and road freight within the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a focused sales strategy across Florida and neighbouring states

• Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities within key industry sectors

• Promote the company’s full suite of international freight services: sea, air, and road

• Build and nurture long-term relationships with shippers, manufacturers, and distributors

• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity

• Work closely with operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional service

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in freight forwarding sales or business development

• Strong knowledge of logistics, international trade, and INCOTERMS

• Existing relationships with importers/exporters are highly beneficial

• Self-motivated, target-driven, and effective in a remote working environment

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities

• Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast region as needed
