Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer – £32,000-£35,000 – Gloucester – Permanent Days

Quality Engineer required to join a fast-growing manufacturer based in Gloucester near Gloucester Quays.

As the successful Quality Engineer you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the quality management systems on site, working to AS9100, ISO9001 and ISO14001 as well as supporting various internal departments including process areas, laboratory, inspection, goods-in and dispatch.

Salary – £32,000-£35,000

The Role:

• Aligned to quality department you will be responsible for implementing robust quality controls to meet the requirements of AS9100 rev D /9001:2015, relevant specifications and customer specific requirements.
• Control of quality documentation.
• Create and raise new works procedures, flowcharts, supporting documents, SOP’s as required.
• Deal with day-to-day quality issues and problem solving.
• Interface with suppliers and customers as required.
• Support completion of monthly KPI’s against established objectives and targets
• Work alongside the quality team ensuring best practice and standardised approach is adopted.
• Completion of supplier quality audits (where required)
• Completion of internal audits
• Supporting root cause and implementation of corrective actions.
• Hands on support with inspection when required
• Support creation of work instructions and SOP’s for consistent inspection techniques
• Supporting and generation of quality control procedures for new processes

Requirements:

• Experienced working within ISO9001:2015, ideally with exposure to AS9100rev D and / or ISO14001:2015.
• Trained internal auditor AS9100 Rev D / 9001:2015
• 8D Trained
• Previous experience of using CMM inspection equipment.
• Full driving licence.
• Must be prepared to travel to supplier premises within the UK as required to complete on-site audits, review quality issues (could be at short notice).
