Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services
I’m representing a market-leading M&E contract business that’s specialised in industrial and commercial installations and maintenance for over 20 years. This is an interesting role that will see you take the lead on electrical design but also give you the opportunity to be more site based, developing skills such within procurement, quality assurance of electrical works.
This is suitable for a degree or Diploma qualified Electrical Engineer who posses high level understanding of electrical design. You could come from a university route, HND / Electrical technician route or an electrician who has worked their way up and has gone on to further education, studying a building services degree or electrical engineering degree
Background:
HND Electrical Engineering or Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience of designing commercial and industrial electrical systems
Ideally experience installing industrial and commercial electrical systems – if you are coming from a consultancy, this is not expected
Role:
Designing electrical systems for industrial and commercial installations
Risk assessments, design, pricing, procurement, scope of works and quality assurance of electrical works
50% office based, 50% site based; All sites are based in Hampshire
Develop and mentor a small team of electrical staff ensuring a thorough understanding of BS7671 and delivering a high standard of works
Provide technical advice
Take responsibility for NICEIC enrolment and ensure all certification is issued correctly and in a timely manner
Package:
Salary £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
23 days holiday plus bank holidays
Van or mileage
4% pension
