Mechanical Fitter / Test Engineer – Machinery

I’m recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter / Test Engineer to join a manufacturer of bespoke machinery in Dorset.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a world leader in the development, design, and manufacture of special-purpose machinery, which offer progression, regular training, and flexible working arrangements.

Previous experience may have been as a mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembly, Manufacturing Engineer or Test Engineer or similar.

THE ROLE:

  • Final setup and pre-despatch testing of completed machines.
  • Understanding of the operation and functionality of the full range of the company’s machines, the functionality of change parts, and the dynamics of perfecting a top-class wrap.
  • Be required to travel, globally, for the purposes of machine installation, commissioning, and general field service activities
  • To travel to work on-site at customers’ facilities for installation, commissioning, and general service activities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Must have sound mechanical fitting skills and likely have worked for a machine building company.

PACKAGE & BENEFITS:

  • Salary: £31,000-£34,000
  • 39 hours per week
  • Company pension
