Electrical Engineer – Commercial System Designer and Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrical engineer to join our team as a Electrical Engineering Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, managing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems in commercial buildings, working closely with our clients to ensure that their requirements are met and the systems are safe, reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and industrial buildings
Prepare detailed technical drawings and documentation
Manage and oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring that they are installed to the required standards and regulations
Manage a team of electricians and contractors, ensuring that they are working efficiently and safely
Conduct site visits to inspect and evaluate existing systems, identify potential problems, and recommend improvements
Develop and manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for each project
Develop scope of works for projects
Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that the systems meet their needs
Collaborate with other engineers and technical specialists to optimize system design and performance

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and electrical design software
Knowledge of electrical systems and regulations
Experience managing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage a team of electricians and contractors
Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

Package:

Salary £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
23 days holiday plus bank holidays
Van or mileage
4% pension
