HGV, Plant and Recycling Machinery Fitter
Workshop Fitter – HGV and Plant Machinery
I am recruiting for a leading Greenwaste Recycling site in the West Sussex area. They are looking for an experienced fitter with a Plant or HGV background.
This is a great opportunity for a fitter seeking a varied role with a range of different machinery.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring company vehicles are kept safely on the road and ensure plant machinery is operational in the yard.
Key Duties:
- Daily checks and maintenance of yard recycling machinery and plant
- Plant servicing and repairs
- Servicing and repairs of HGV fleet
- Machine servicing and repairs of shredders / soil screeners
- Welding and gas cutting
Key Competencies:
- Must have previous experience of Plant servicing and repairs
- Must have previous experience of HGV servicing and repairs
- Experience of operating plant (360 / loading shovel) a bonus (ticket can be provided)
- Welding experience (not essential)
- HGV licence would be a bonus (but not essential)
- Would suit previous agricultural background
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
