Operating across multiple branches in the UK, our client is a forward thinking Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy working on buildings, railway infrastructure, temporary works, bridges and geotechnics. Established since 1981, the business has enjoyed steady growth driven by a committed and highly skilled workforce of 100 employees.

The Role

• Taking ownership of own projects and clients
• Carrying out inspections, site surveys and assessments of structures and preparing reports
• Reviewing the design of civil & structural schemes and checking designs prepared by others, including detailed calculations by hand and through computer models
• Managing resourcing of junior Engineers and Technicians for your projects within the team including mentoring, coaching and training
• Advising junior staff on solutions and supporting other team members on developing solutions
• Preparation of tenders and fee proposals
• Liaising with clients to verify project scope and ensure deliverables

Requirements

• Relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree
• Working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE)
• 4+ years experience
• Strong technical knowledge within assessment and design including inspections, calculations and analysis of existing structures and new-build design development
• Experience within the UK industry; preferably with Eurocode and Highway standards

Package

• To £45,000 annual salary
• 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off, with option to purchase up to 5 additional days holiday per year
