Location: Farnborough

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (DOE)

My client is looking for an experienced Freight Import Coordinator to join their team based in Farnborough. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Import Freight Forwarding and have a working knowledge and experience processing Import Customs Clearances using CDS. Previous experience as a Customs/Import Clerk or as a Freight Forwarder with Ocean/Air Freight experience would be desirable.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00am-5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Gathering import docs and execute import entries.
• Arrange disbursements & timely deliveries avoiding storage and bad will.
• Quotations to overseas agents for arrival charges & some import spot quotations for established commercial supply chain clients.
• Monitoring shipments and issuing NOAs when required.
• Support customers’ processes to ensure precise and timely arrangements of shipments and disbursement requests.
• Day-to-day administration: couriering documents, filing, answering enquiries and effectively resolving problems.
• Raise invoices and transport documents & pass to clients and importers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Import Customs using CDS is essential.
• Ocean/Deep-Sea and/or Air Freight Forwarding Experience desirable.
• Experience using Sequoia desirable.
• Previous experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarding Company.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good verbal and written communication.
