Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Rochdale

Hours: Monday – Friday / 0830 – 1700 (30 min break) – 12 Month Maternity Contract

Salary: Up to £26,000 (depending on experience)

12 month Maternity contract – potential to go permanent however at this time it’s Mat cover.

Duties – Accounts Assistant

  • Log and process supplier invoices in the Finance system
  • Calculate daily supplier costs and record in the Operations system
  • Record daily cash receipts from customers
  • Check supplier statement and process payments
  • Handling customer queries and requirements
  • Assisting with the management of customer accounts
  • Credit control calls
  • Completing credit checks on new accounts
  • Assist with account collections
  • Answering calls, taking messages and forwarding to relevant employees within the team
  • Recording supplier invoices in the accounting software

Requirements – Accounts Assistant

  • Minimum of 2 years office experience
  • Experience in working with Excel, Word and Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working within a finance team is beneficial but not essential
