Air Export Supervisor – Hayes – Up to £40,000

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing and supervising staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and communicating with clients

Job Type: Full time

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Package:

• Salary up to £40,000
• 20 days holiday per calendar year rising to 25 days holiday after completion of 5 full years service with the Company
• Pension auto enrollment 5% employer / 4% employee
• 4 times annual salary Life Assurance cover
• Christmas bonus depending upon Company performance

Day-to-day

• Oversee Operational Team
• Oversee Staff workload and cover operations when required.
• Raising and updating SOPs & Customer Profiles
• Delegating tasks to the operational team
• Communicating with the team, other departments and branches
• Dealing with customer queries
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to organise and prioritise
• Ability to motivate others
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
• Any other reasonable task requested by management team

𝐐̲𝐮̲𝐚̲𝐥̲𝐢̲𝐟̲𝐢̲𝐜̲𝐚̲𝐭̲𝐢̲𝐨̲𝐧̲𝐬̲

• Previous experience of Supervisory role within the freight forwarding industry
• Right to work in the UK
• Experienced with a UK-based freight forwarder
• Computer literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Word.
• Preferred but not essential: AS400, Outlook and ASM Sequoia
• Good communication and motivational skills, with the approach to delegate and be able to lead by example and make decisions using sound judgement.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Understand requirements and operational procedures and be able to Identify areas that require Improvement/change/update.
• Good organisation skills and ability to oversee others.
• Problem solving and Leadership skills.
• Flexible attitude with requests for reasonable operational related projects which the company requirements.
