Air Freight Operator – Crowthorne, London – Up to £38,000
Job Type: Permanent
Full time: Monday – Friday
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000
From You:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in airfreight
- Good understanding of Import / export customs clearances using CDS
- Collecting VAT and duty Payments
- Interact with UK customers and overseas agent to arrange shipments.
- Customer updates, customer requests
- Arranging transport, client updates etc.
- Proving quotes to oversees agents.
- Invoicing
- Customer focus, willingness to learn and develop, effective and professional communication skills.
- Committed to quality.
- Good IT skills – Basic level of word and Excel
Summary of Role:
- Knowledge of both airfreight import, and export would be preferred. The Ideal Candidate will need to have 3+ years’ experience in import freight forwarding and have a working knowledge and experience in processing import / export customs entries using CDS.
- Handling shipments from start to finish including customs clearance, customs duty & VAT and arranging delivery to the customer.
- Candidate will need to have great communication skills and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- We also deal with a small number of Air Cross trade shipments.
