Nightshift Operations Coordinator – Air Freight Express Logistics
Location: Heathrow (on-site)

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off | 19:00 – 07:00
Salary: £40,000

We’re working with a leading name in global logistics who are looking to expand their night operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a background in express air freight to join a fast-paced, high-performing environment based near Heathrow.

The Role:

As a Nightshift Operations Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of international logistics operations-handling urgent consignments, coordinating with global partners, and ensuring smooth shipment flow during out-of-hours operations. You’ll be working on-site, as part of a tight-knit team responsible for keeping express shipments moving overnight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage import/export shipments (air & express) throughout the night
• Coordinate urgent AOG and NFO movements
• Oversee shared operational inbox and manage procedural workflows
• Liaise with overseas offices, airlines, and partners for time-critical updates
• Process import/export documentation and customs entries (via CDS)
• Ensure all compliance and HMRC regulations are met
• Handle invoicing, job costing and system updates
• Deliver excellent service to express clients-even under pressure

Ideal Candidate:

• Background in time-sensitive air freight forwarding
• Hands-on experience with AOG/NFO shipments
• Familiarity with Sequoia, Boxtop, CNS, or Destin8 (preferred)
• Strong understanding of UK customs procedures (CDS knowledge is a plus)
• Able to work independently overnight and problem-solve on the go
• Detail-oriented with great communication and record-keeping skills
• Flexible and reliable with a passion for fast-paced logistics
