A well-established and growing freight forwarding company is looking to recruit an Air Freight Pricing Executive to join its commercial team at its Fleet office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years’ freight forwarding experience who is looking to develop their career within air freight pricing and commercial operations. Whether you have gained experience in air, sea, road freight, or a multi-modal environment, this role offers the chance to learn the commercial side of the industry while working closely with airlines, overseas agents, sales teams, and operational departments.

The Role

As an Air Freight Pricing Executive, you’ll be responsible for preparing competitive quotations, sourcing rates from carriers and suppliers, and supporting the wider business with pricing enquiries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing air freight import and export quotations
• Obtaining rates from airlines, agents, and suppliers
• Calculating costs and maintaining profitable margins
• Supporting sales teams with pricing for new business opportunities
• Managing spot-rate enquiries and customer requests
• Keeping supplier rates and pricing information up to date
• Monitoring market trends, carrier rates, and capacity changes
• Liaising with operational teams to ensure accurate costing

The Ideal Candidate

• 1-2 years’ experience within freight forwarding
• Understanding of air freight, ocean freight, road freight, or multi-modal logistics
• Strong attention to detail and numerical ability
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Commercially minded with a willingness to learn
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Looking to develop a long-term career within freight forwarding
