Air Import Coordinator – Hayes – £34,000
Our client, who are a international freight forwarder are currently seeking an Air Import Freight Coordinator to join their team on a 6-month temp contract.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00AM to 17:30PM
Job Tasks, Responsibilities, Requirements:
- Liaising with airlines, agents, customers and origin offices, to arrange the smooth handling of shipments.
- Arranging collections for freight from the airline, arranging deliveries to customers and completing invoicing.
- Dealing with customs queries whilst supporting the customs team.
- Liaise with different branches to arrange their trucking requirements and manage the inbound Air Freight.
- Work in a compliant manner by following set out procedures.
- Computer literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Word. Preferred but not essential AS400, Outlook and ASM Sequoia
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Be able to work accurately with good attention to detail.
- Ability to plan, execute and complete a given task within a specified timeframe.
- Self-initiative.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Understand requirements and operational procedures
- Good organisation skills
- Problem-solving and Leadership skills.
- Good understanding of CHIEF/CDS entries for Import and Export
