Air Import Coordinator
Air Import Coordinator – Feltham – Up to £34,000
As Air Import Coordinator, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate movement of air import freight and related information while ensuring high levels of customer service.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Sunday to Thursday – 07:00am to 15:30pm
Salary: Up to £34,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the smooth flow of air import shipments
- Accurately input shipment data into internal systems
- Track and trace shipments using systems, airline websites, or direct contact
- Coordinate timely delivery of shipments to customers
- Send documentation to customers or brokers for customs clearance
- Ensure accurate and timely billing to clients and vendors
- Communicate with customers to coordinate international shipments
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships (airlines, trucking companies, etc.)
- Adhere to internal processes and external regulations
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency
- Follow and update customer procedures (SOPs)
- Meet performance metrics (KPIs)
- Respond promptly to internal and external communications
Requirements/Knowledge:
- Experience in Air Imports for a UK based freight forwarder
- Internal systems and procedures
- Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship is on offer)
- Industry regulations (IATA preferred)
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Organized and proactive
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Fluent in English
