Automation Engineer
Automation Control Engineer – Bedford – £40,000-£60,000 (DOE)
Automation Control Engineer required to join a forward-thinking distributor of machine controls, linear motion products, drives and other related automation products, based in Bedford.
As the successful Automation Controls Engineer you will be responsible for all of my client’s automation, control, motion, visualisation, remote access and electrical drive product categories. In addition you will have a key role in the roll-out and development of their brand new robotic solutions.
As one of two Automation Control Engineers, you will be responsible for offering technical support, application advice, product demonstrations, occasional site support and will liaise with system integrators. All successful applicants must have PLC programming experience.
The Package:
Salary £40,000 – £60,000
Company Car / Car allowance
Pension – Employer/Employee Matched Contribution (up to 5% each)
Holiday – 26 days p.a., rising by 1 day for each full year of employment, up to 28 days.
Annual Company Bonus
Hours – 08:30 – 17:00 Mon-Thurs, 08:30 – 16:00 Fri
The Role:
- Technical support & application advice to customers & colleagues
- Product demonstrations
- Support & expand our system integrator network
- Roll-out and support of new robotic solutions
- Occasional on-site customer support activities
Requirements:
- Ideally degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics)
- Experience in the configuration and programming of PLCs / HMIs / Servos / Inverters
- Experience of Motion Control will be an advantage
- A desire to develop knowledge of Robotics
- Permanent eligibility to work in the UK.
