Automation Engineer – Programming, Commissioning & Support
Automation Engineer required to join a cutting-edge provider of automated palletising products.
As the successful Automation Engineer you will be responsible for programming, commissioning and implementing software, with 80% travel to customer sites.
The Package:
Salary – £30,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
Quarterly bonuses
21 days holiday + bank holidays

Weekend overtime available at an increased rate
The Role:
- To be responsible for programming and commissioning of our systems
- To assist with customer support visits and calls
- To meet agreed deadlines for commissioning of equipment and systems
- Carry out full system commissioning which can include software, mechanical and electrical competence
- Carry out site installation, software integration and commissioning
- Deliver customer training
- Offer technical support both remotely and on site for engineers and clients
- Carry out routine service and maintenance visits
Requirements:
- Experience with programming PLC’s for automated machinery
- Experience with creating electrical designs for machinery
- Experience with commissioning machinery
- Electrical training and qualification
- KUKA robot programming training and experience
- Clean driving license
- Must prepared to be on an ‘on call’ Rota for 24/7 support (additional pay for this)
