Bookings Administrator – 12 month Maternity
Bookings Administrator – London Gateway – Up to £30,000
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Administrator to support our Bookings, Administration, and Customer Services functions during a period of maternity cover. This is a full-time, office-based role offering the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, effective communication, and a high standard of customer service.
Contract: Maternity Cover – 1 year, with a view to becoming permanent
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
Location: Fully office-based
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the shared mailbox and ensure all emails are responded to or actioned in a timely manner
- Participate in all day-to-day bookings, administration, and customer service activities
- Action emails, speak directly with customers, and distribute emails to the correct internal teams
- Assist with effective liaison, support, and communication between the bookings/admin/CS department, customers, and the wider business
- Assist in checking rate confirmations, rating jobs, and sending invoices
- Carry out general administrative duties including answering telephone calls, data input, and arranging meetings
- Liaise with internal support teams to resolve any IT or system issues impacting the team
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new software systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good punctuation and attention to detail
- Strong attendance and reliability
Additional Information
A full driving licence and access to your own transport is preferable, as the office location is difficult to reach by public transport
