Building Survey and Project Manager – Residential

Are you an experienced Building Surveyor looking for a varied role in a small and close-knit, privately run architectural practice, then look no further!

The role will enable you to take on broader responsibilities such as; project management, architectural design, planning and contract management.

The practice with offices in Chelmsford and London, is focused on the development of their staff to achieve chartered status and empowering them with the flexibility and the freedom to manage projects.

Projects consist of predominantly residential developments including; new builds, extensions, loft conversions, basement conversions, and apartment block builds.

The ideal candidate will have experience in residential building surveying with appropriate qualifications.


The Role

• Conducting building surveys, measuring up for condition and for development purposes
• Project management and coordinating projects
• Produce planning building regulation drawings and submissions to Local Authority, Building Control & General Compliance Co-ordination
• Using Autocad and Revit.
• Preparing tender documents, writing specifications for works, preparing contracts
• Contract administration
• Providing technical assistance to architects and clients

You

• Qualified Surveyor
• 2+ years of experience surveying residential buildings either with a construction company, architects or surveying firm
• Likely to hold some of the following certifications; MCIOB, RICS, CSRT, HTTC, CSSW, SMSTS
• Degree or HNC in Surveying, Building Services, Construction
• Experience of working on Residential projects, preferably including site experience

Package

• Negotiable Salary £35K – £50K
• Hybrid working options
• Support through to Chartered status
• 28 days holiday
