Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager required for an independent Transport company that are partnered with a successful Pallet Network.
Business Development Manager MUST live in the following postcodes : GU, RH, BN – you will operate in these areas.
This role is brand new and you will be given the balance of autonomy and excellent training to deliver great results in this role.
Experience B2B is ESSENTIAL – you MUST have worked in a field based position – preferably in Logistics.
Salary £30K – £40K, Car OR Car Allowance, Bonus, Laptop, Phone
Achieve new business sales targets by developing relationships with new (and lapsed) customers
Pro-actively own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale:
Arrange own meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
Negotiate the terms of a sale (price, costs, delivery and speciﬁcations) with buyers and close the sale
Effectively interact with the Telemarketing and Op team to fully and effectively brief them on new customers
Gather and maintain detailed market and target customer information including a clear understanding of customers’ business and requirements
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Company’s products, services and pricing structures
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and compliance with products and services sold
Maintain sales pipeline ensuring all sales administration/reporting is current using CRM software
Maintain a monthly personal sales activity plan including the quantity, direction and quality of all sales activity.
