Business Development Manager – Swadlincote – Up to £50,000
As business Development Manager, you will be working for a leading global logistics provider, responsible for driving new business growth within the road freight sector through proactive field sales and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and convert new business opportunities (FTL, LTL, groupage)
- Conduct field sales activity, including regular face-to-face client meetings
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Develop relationships and win long-term contracts
- Prepare proposals, tenders, and pricing solutions
- Negotiate rates and service agreements
- Collaborate with operations to ensure service delivery
- Monitor market trends and maintain CRM reporting
Skills & Experience:
- Proven field sales/BDM experience in road freight/logistics
- Strong knowledge of UK/EU transport markets
- Track record of winning new business
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness and margin focus
KPIs:
- New business revenue
- Gross margin
- Client meetings and conversion rates
- Accounts won and retained
