Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager – Immingham – Up to £50,000

As business Development Manager, you will be working for a leading global logistics provider, responsible for driving new business growth within the road freight sector through proactive field sales and client engagement.

Job type: Permanent

On offer:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and convert new business opportunities (FTL, LTL, groupage)
  • Conduct field sales activity, including regular face-to-face client meetings
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
  • Develop relationships and win long-term contracts
  • Prepare proposals, tenders, and pricing solutions
  • Negotiate rates and service agreements
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure service delivery
  • Monitor market trends and maintain CRM reporting

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven field sales/BDM experience in road freight/logistics
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU transport markets
  • Track record of winning new business
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercial awareness and margin focus

KPIs:

  • New business revenue
  • Gross margin
  • Client meetings and conversion rates
  • Accounts won and retained
