Business Development Manager – Manchester/London Heathrow/Felixstowe

My client is seeking an experienced, successful and hungry Business Development Manager who is located in either Manchester, London Heathrow or Felixstowe.

You will truly be part of a global leading organisation who have been integrated in the shipping, logistics and marine services industry since the 1950s. A global network and array of multimodal options that can be tailored to meet specific needs gives our customers the strategic advantage in today’s global marketplace.

Multi-Modal Freight experience in required – A minimum of knowledge in both Air & Ocean

Typical Daily Job Duties – What are you responsible for?

• Leverage cold calling, emails and other forms of daily communication to generate new sales leads and approach new customers
• Set sales appointments, remotely or in person to orchestrate discussions around potential customer business needs
• Negotiate prices and provide customers with accurate and cost-effective quotations. Follow up on quotations and take required follow-up actions.
• Follow up and maintain relationships with existing customers
• Resolve customer issues and queries
• Provide a high level of customer care through regular contact, obtain feedback, and monitor account performance to ensure retention and growth.
• Record customer details on CRM or customer database.
• Prepare weekly and monthly figures of sales activity as instructed by the Managing Director
• Achieve sales productivity and revenue targets
• Provide a high level of internal and external customer care, working closely with internal Freight Coordinator team.
• Leverage support from our Partners and Network

Salary Negotiable depending on experience

Commission + Bonus + Car Allowance

30 Days Holiday + 8 Public Holidays + 1 Day for your Birthday

Hours: 37.5 Mon – Fri
