Key responsibilities:
- Identify New Opportunities: Research, identify and pursue potential new customers and new business opportunities
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of new prospects and ensure consistent follow up and engagement with potential customers
- Solutions Analysis: Understand the specific needs of each customer, offering advice on system design integration and overall project feasibility
- Conduct site visits and assessments to accurately capture client requirements and project scope
- Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders to secure profitable contracts
- Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Engineering and Product Teams to refine strategies
- Achieve Sales Targets: Track, report and optimise performance against targets and overall sales goals.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor closely market trends, competitors, and industry developments
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in B2B business development, technical sale sales or application engineer within the embedded systems, electronics or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, including hardware, software and related technologies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand complex systems and convey this knowledge to clients
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Results driven mindset with focus on identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities
- Comfortable in using various digital tools to manage leads and track progress
- A passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional service
- Thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment and be open to feedback and continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel for clients meetings, presentations and industry events as required
Package:
- Base salary circa £45k plus commission and car allowance
