Business Development Manager – Multi Modal Freight Sales
Position: Multi-Modal BDM – Air, Sea, Road Freight
Location: Ashford, London Heathrow
Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30am – 17:00pm (Field Based)
Salary: £27,500 – £47,500
Our client is one of the fastest-growing UK freight forwarders, achieving a 2021 group turnover of £460m. Founded in 1998, their people have remained at the heart of our business.
They provide a variety of logistics services that include ocean freight, air freight, road Freight, 3PL and e-commerce fulfilment.
To continue with growth plans, we are currently hiring for a field-based, Multi-Modal Business Development, reporting to the London Heathrow Branch. This role will involve selling air, sea and road freight services with an active business pipeline. You will be responsible for lead generation and new business acquisition. This is a full-time permanentposition offering a salary range between £27.500 – £47,500 depending on experience.

Multi-Modal Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve profit growth through effective commercial management of new and existing accounts.
- Demonstrate growth on a monthly basis and achieve the targets set out in the BDM scheme.
- Maximise all revenue opportunities from existing accounts by proactively pursuing underdeveloped areas.
- Generate new prospect leads and meet customers face to-face, Teams/zoom and via the telephone.
- Follow the company sales policies and procedures.
- Update the CRM with records of all sales telephone calls, visits & Opportunities.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new services.
- Both provide and record timely, accurate, competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
