CAD/Project Engineer – Experienced or Graduate
I’m recruiting a CAD Engineer / Project Engineer to join a sheet metal fabrication company in Suffolk. This is a unique opportunity for either a qualified engineer with experience in a similar role, or an individual from a different engineering discipline seeking a new challenge in Project Engineering.
My client provides high quality products and has a strong reputation in the market, with services including metal fabrication and some of the most advanced laser cutting & folding capabilities in the region.
Would suit either an experienced engineer with experience in a similar role, or an aspiring graduate with a good project management skill-set. Previous roles may have included CAD Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer.
The Role
- Create laser-cut nested programs for production
- Create fold programs for production
- Review customer drawings
- Create drawings from scratch
- Project Management
- Customer and internal stakeholder liaison
You
- Capable of readings engineering drawings, paper and software versions
- CAD experience – ideally Solidworks (3D models), but previous exposure to similar platforms is fine (AutoCAD, CREO, Inventor etc.)
- Project engineering / Project Management skillset
- Solid engineering background, able to understand tolerances, drawings, schematics
- Experienced in working with production to ensure programs work on plant machinery (cut-stamp-fold) and designs enable ease of fabrication
Benefits Package
- £25,000-£35,000 p/a
