Category Executive – Food Industry required for leading Food Distributor in Slough.

Role – Category Executive – Food Industry

This role will be supporting the category plans and growth campaigns to increase market share, drive revenue and support our customers in making their lives’ easier and grow their business.

You will provide the Category team with invaluable insight into market trends and consumer/customer needs to drive our product and category strategies. You will have a creative flair in identifying growth opportunities and developing category management plans which deliver the right product range to the right customer, meeting both the customer and business needs.

Your category plans will incorporate our commercial strategy, supporting both our Own Brand and Branded business as well as integrating our various channels and sectors. You will take ownership for the category collateral assets and their execution through the Campaign & Activation team.

The role will be working cross-functionally with a number of different departments both internally and externally including Buying, Sales teams and Suppliers.

The Package

£28K – £35K
25 days holiday + bank holidays

Requirements

You will be confident in analysing and interpreting data to identify trends and opportunities

You will be a strong relationship builder and be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders

You will have great influencing skills

You will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with meeting deadlines

Creativity and ‘thinking outside the box’ are key; demonstrating that you are a champion of innovation on a daily basis to inspire colleagues and customers to adopt new ways of working

Lastly… a relevant degree or category management experience is required for this role, and a passion for food is an advantage!
