CNC Machinist
Role: CNC Machinist
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Location: Cheddar
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who is confident working across both manual and CNC machining. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality components, from reading engineering drawings to programming, machining, and assembling precision parts.
Responsibilities include:
- Program, write, and edit CNC programs independently
- Read, interpret, and produce engineering drawings
- Operate semi-manual and fully manual lathes
- Carry out precision milling and turning operations
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of rotating mechanical components
- Ensure work meets quality, accuracy, and safety standards
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in CNC programming and manual machining
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with lathes, milling machines, and general machining operations
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical components
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach
