CNC Machinist
Role: CNC Machinist
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
My client is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their busy team based in Leicester producing high quality precision components
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis)
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM programs
- Perform quality checks using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Adjust machine settings to maintain precision and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role
- Strong understanding of machining processes and materials
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with G-code programming (preferred)
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork mindset
