CNC Programmer
Role: CNC Programmer
Location: Croydon
Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a well-established engineering/manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working on precision components and improving manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities include
- Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs for milling and/or turning operations
- Set up and prove out programs on CNC machines
- Work closely with setters/operators and production teams to ensure efficient manufacture
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to improve cycle times and quality
- Carry out program troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining (milling and/or turning)
- Experience with controls such as FANUC / Siemens (or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and materials
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
- Background in high-precision engineering (aerospace, automotive, defence, etc.)
- Experience with multi-axis machining
