Container Transport Planner – Felixstowe – Up to £50,000
Our client who is a leading UK-based transport company are looking for a skilled Container Transport Planner to manage and optimize container movements across the UK, ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective transport operations.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (Standard office hours)
Salary: Up to £50,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate container movements.
- Optimize container routes and schedules for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with drivers, and internal teams to resolve operational issues and ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage transport documentation, including VGM, delivery instructions, and haulier coordination.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on service quality and cost control.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in UK container planning
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Solid understanding of UK transport regulations, container management, and haulage operations.
