Container Transport Planner – Southampton – Up to £33,000
Our client, who are a leading specialise in container transport are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Southampton, UK
As Transport Planner, you will be tasked in moving containers across the UK.
Job type: Permanent
Hours as a weekly rotation:
- 06:00am – 16:00pm
- 07:00am – 17:00pm
- 08:00am – 18:00pm
- 09:00am – 19:00pm
(1 in 4 Saturdays required – 06:00am to 12:00pm)
Package:
- Up to £33,000
- Annual salary review (discretionary)
- Annual bonus (discretionary).

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dealing with multiple drivers
- Communicating with ports
- Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
- Using TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
- Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time
- Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
- Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
- Speaking to customers on possible delays
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Transport Operator – Essential
- Previous experience dealing with containers – Essential
- Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
- Excellent UK geographical knowledge
- Can work on own initiative
- Quick and efficient problem solving skills
- Organised at all times
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
